Access Control Installation

Here are the general steps for access control system installation:

  1. Planning & Site Survey: Assess entry/exit points, determine user needs, choose appropriate hardware (e.g., card readers, biometric scanners), and design system layout.
  2. Install Hardware: Mount access control panels, card readers, door strikes/magnetic locks, and power supplies; run necessary cabling between components.
  3. Connect & Configure System: Wire the system to the control panel, connect to the network if needed, and install/access the software.
  4. Software Setup: Configure access rules, user credentials, schedules, and logging preferences in the access control software.
  5. Testing & Commissioning: Test all components for correct functionality, including door locking/unlocking, credential verification, and alarm triggers.
  6. Training & Handover: Train end users/admins on system usage and maintenance, and provide documentation for support.
