CCTV Installation

Here are the CCTV installation steps in a clear and structured format:

  1. Planning & Site Survey
    – Identify surveillance areas, choose camera types (e.g., dome, bullet, PTZ), and determine camera locations for optimal coverage.
  2. Select Equipment
    – Choose cameras, DVR/NVR (Digital/Network Video Recorder), storage, cables (coaxial or Ethernet), power supplies, and monitors.
  3. Install Cameras
    – Mount cameras securely at planned positions using brackets, ensuring proper angles and coverage; drill holes for cabling if needed.
  4. Run Cables
    – Route power and video/data cables (BNC for analog, Ethernet for IP cameras) from cameras to DVR/NVR and power sources.
  5. Install DVR/NVR & Connect System
    – Set up the DVR/NVR in a secure, ventilated location; connect cameras, display monitors, power, and the internet (if remote viewing is required).
  6. Configure the System
    – Set up camera names, recording schedules, motion detection zones, alerts, and user permissions through the DVR/NVR software.
  7. Test the System
    – Verify video feed from all cameras, check playback and recording, test motion alerts, and ensure remote access (via app or web).
  8. Final Adjustments & Handover
    – Adjust camera angles if needed, secure all connections, label components, and train the user on system operation and maintenance.
